The municipal centre, Lyngseidet, has a relatively well developed service infrastructure. In addition to the normal municipal offices, there are found a whole range of businesses. Bjørklids Ferries has it's headoffices situated here and in addition  industries such as Lyngen Plast, producing plastic tanks and Tøllefsen Boats who manufacture aluminium boats. 

Furuflaten is an industrial village with a number of different manufacturing industries. Here one finds Uponor, producing plastic piping and piping systems, Alu-Plast producing windows, doors, glass and building fasades, Furstål specialising in fencing and area security, Eco-tech manufacturing the Cinderella toilet, Akva-Ren, Monteringsservice, just to name some of them.

In the  Lenangen area, the commercial activity is primarily based on fisheries with the prawn industry being the most important. It is here that Uniprawns has two modern prawn factories and Bioprawns has a factory manufacturing prawn meal feed from the prawn shells.
